For my latest Reader’s Chair, I read the Book Thief, by Markus Zusak. It was about a girl named Liesel, growing up in Germany during World War II. Her family is hiding a Jew in their basement, but it grows very dangerous when the Nazi police force comes to their town. Our Reader’s Chairs were in the style of Creative Commons videos. These videos use small cartoons and pictures that people move in and out of the screen to tell the story, along with their narration.
